Our school offers a range of spaces, tools and resources to support student learning. Whether it’s for study, sport, creativity or technology, our learning environments and resources give students what they need to succeed.
Our school facilities

- bright and comfortable classrooms
- a well-stocked library for reading and research
- kitchen garden
- sports fields for fitness and fun
- art and music and performances spaces for creative learning
- yarning circle
Resources and technology
Our school uses modern technology and digital learning tools. Our resources help students learn, create and stay connected. As a NSW public school, we have access to shared programs and tools available to all schools in the state.
Our bright and comfortable classrooms.
Our classrooms are bright and welcoming, creating comfortable spaces for learning. At Wyalong Public School, we have an open-class policy where parents are encouraged to visit and see their child's classroom and learning environment.
Our kitchen garden program
Every week, all students participate in our Kitchen Garden program. This initiative provides students with an opportunity to develop lifelong skills, gain knowledge of sustainable practices, and explore new foods using fresh produce from the school vegetable patches.
Additionally, we run a student-led café called 'Toppy Fresh' every Wednesday. Each week, different students prepare and cook a snack, which they sell for $1 during recess. This activity offers students valuable life skills, a sense of responsibility, and opportunities for peer support, as older students cook alongside younger students.
Small group learning
At Wyalong Public School, we are committed to meeting
the needs of every child. One of the most effective ways to achieve this is through small group instruction.
During both literacy and numeracy sessions, we ensure there are at least two adults in each classroom to facilitate focused, small group learning.
Smaller group sizes allow for more personalised teaching, greater student engagement, and more immediate feedback, helping learners progress at their own pace.
Our grounds
Our spacious grounds and sporting fields are open for community use. On weekends, families and community enjoy activities such as tennis, basketball, soccer and football.
Many also take advantage of the gardens for picnics while children play on the equipment.
We also have a yarning circle, offering a quiet space for reflection and connection.
